Launching on Solana: splits, enforced royalties and holders

Solana launches aren't switched on yet. When they are, pick Solana under Network in the launch wizard. A Solana collection is a Metaplex Core collection with a Core Candy Machine. Your Solana wallet signs every launch transaction in one approval, and it owns the collection. FloorFeed never holds the money.

  1. In Details, pick Creator earnings on resales and, if you want them, Enforced under Enforce creator earnings.
  2. Under Who gets the mint money, leave it to one payout wallet, or tap + Split the mint money and add 2 to 5 wallets in whole percents adding up to 100%.
  3. In Mint, add phases. Pick Holders on a phase, paste a Solana collection or token address (or pick another network and paste its contract), and set how many a wallet must hold. Tap + Another collection or token for up to four more.
  4. Under When holdings are checked, pick When they mint, Snapshot at deploy or Snapshot at a set time. Set Most this phase mints in all to keep supply for later phases.
  5. In Launch, press Launch on Solana and approve once. If a transaction doesn't land, Finish the launch asks you to sign what's missing.
  6. After the launch, a split's Payouts page shows each wallet's share. Press Claim or Pay everyone. Manage has Enforce royalties or Stop enforcing royalties for a collection with one payout wallet.
Splits
Mint money goes to a Metaplex Hydra wallet, which only pays the split's wallets. It isn't paid out with each mint: anyone can press Pay everyone, and whoever does pays only the network fee. Hydra keeps 0.5% of the mint money for Metaplex. Each payout rounds down, and a lamport or two stays behind. Resale royalties skip Hydra and go straight to each wallet at the marketplace. After a split's launch, nobody can change the shares, the phases or the collection's royalties, including whether they're enforced, so the mint can't be ended early either. Every wallet must be a plain wallet, not a program's account, and should stay funded: a sale can fail if its royalty is too small for an empty wallet. The rent adds about 0.01 SOL to the launch.
Enforced royalties
Only plain wallets, Tensor and Magic Eden can hold or move the NFTs, so a program that skips your royalty can't sell them through its own account. Limits: two wallets can still deal directly, which pays no royalty, and a program can get around the list by using an address it doesn't own; a marketplace on the list decides how much royalty it charges; and a marketplace that isn't on the list can't trade them until you stop enforcing.
Holders phases
FloorFeed checks the holding, then co-signs that one mint. Solana holders are read through Helius; only NFTs verified in the collection count. A limit per holding wallet means one minting wallet: a wallet linked to your account can mint for your vault, and another can only take over if the first has minted nothing and three minutes have passed. The phase limit is kept on chain. Up to 4 phases fit when each has a price, dates, a limit, a gate and a phase limit.
What your wallet can still do
With a split, nothing: the launch's last transaction gives up the mint's, the guard's and the collection's authority, so its phases, art and supply can't change, the mint can't be ended early, and no NFT can get its own royalty. With one payout wallet your wallet keeps the collection, so it could change the art or the royalties, give an NFT its own royalty, mint past the supply, or stop holders moving their NFTs, and edit the mint on chain, including skipping FloorFeed's fee on its own mint site. FloorFeed checks the chain, stops building mints when it sees one of these, and says so on the mint page, but it can't undo them or stop mints made elsewhere. Collectors: a collection with one payout wallet trusts its creator.

Tip: On FloorFeed, collectors of a Solana launch can buy from Tensor listings. Listing, and selling into an offer, are done on Tensor or Magic Eden for now.
